If you know me at all, you know I get a little annoyed when people confuse the two above-mentioned professions. You know I also get annoyed when an engine (such as an internal combustion engine, under the hood of MOST cars) is called a "motor."
Matter of accuracy, not PC-ness.
Some in the massage business get offended even at being called a masseuse -- because that term has often been co-opted by prostitutes.
In my opinion, which is worth what you paid for it, prostitution should also be a licensed profession with certain mandatory training and exams and such -- including physiology, psychology, and ethics courses.
Most similar professions are already licensed -- counselor, minister, physician, EMT, plumber, lawyer...I don't know if there's a licensing board for mixologists, but I know there are training courses!
